Doherty grew up in Memphis, Tennessee in 1971. Her mom was a beauty salon
owner, and her father was a mortgage consultant. She has an older brother
Sean. Doherty has an Irish heritage, and at the age of seven, her entire
family moved to California. It was then that she immediately announced
that she wanted to be an actress.
Fast foward to a new millenium. She is now a Hollywood wildcat best known
for her roles as Brenda Walsh on Beverly Hills 90210 - both past and
present versions - as well as Prue Halliwell on Charmed. She maintains
close friendships with the likes of similarly wild celebrities such as
Paris Hilton. Known for her hot temper and lightning fast tongue, she has
made headlines for her behavior more than for her acting abilities.
While Doherty has made efforts over the years to tell people that she is
truly not as evil as some people think, that hasn't stopped her from
occasionally embracing her badass identity with open arms. And her new
autobiography has the title "Badass", so maybe the name is truly hers.
With new episodes of 90210 showing, as well as reruns of witchy drama
Charmed and the occasional showing of Doherty's reality TV shows, there's
